Saving lives in all aspects.

Save a Life Mentorship began in 2022 as an after-school poetry club. Poetry has always been a personal outlet for expressing my emotions, and I wanted to bring that same space of creativity and healing to the children in my community. Over time, the poetry club grew into something much deeper—a ministry. Students began opening up about their personal struggles, sharing testimonies, embracing one another in tears, and bravely speaking about their battles with suicidal thoughts. Through it all, my relationship with the Lord was ever-present. I prayed over my students, shared how God brings peace in the midst of pain, and encouraged them to build their own relationship with our Heavenly Father.

In February 2023, my eldest brother, Antonio Davis Jr., passed away due to suicide. My family and I were heartbroken, but I knew his life—and even his passing—would not be without purpose. During my season of grief, my prayer partner and sister in Christ, Sandy Robles, encouraged me to use my story to continue pouring into the lives of my students. That encouragement became the spark that gave life to Save a Life Mentorship.

Through God’s strength, I returned to the classroom with renewed purpose—to teach, to love, and to create an after-school program that helps young people heal mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What began as a poetry club is now a movement rooted in faith, hope, and restoration.
