It all begins with the LORD.

My relationship with God has been present since I was a little girl. I grew up serving in my grandfather’s church—whether it was through praise dance, singing, or public speaking, I always had a passion for the Lord. My favorite part of being a believer has always been the sense of community it brings. It fills my heart with joy to see how God has brought that same passion back to me, full circle.

I’m 27 years old, and I’ve discovered my purpose through seeking the Lord. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Theatre, I wasn’t sure what direction to take. I began working in recruiting, but I felt no passion in what I was doing. So, I decided to go on a 30-day fast and asked God to reveal my purpose—specifically through a career.

Shortly after, my father introduced me to teaching… and the rest was history.

I don’t minister to children—or anyone—because it’s trendy, or for recognition, or because it’s easy. Truthfully, it’s not easy at all. I do it because the Lord tells me to, and because it’s the only thing that brings me true joy.
